No words to describe how shaken we are after hearing the news of Sridevi’s untimely demise. A pall of gloom has descended over the industry ever since and everyone is shell shocked. How could she die so soon? She was just 54!!! Over the last one hour, celebs have been only tweeting, expressing their disbelief over the fact that Sridevi is no more. Where Priyanka Chopra tweeted, “Ye Lamhe , ye pal hum har pal yaad karenge.. ye mausam chale gaye toh hum fariyad karenge.” Preity Zinta wrote, “Heartbroken & shocked to hear that my all time favourite #Sridevi is no more. May god give peace to her soul & strength to the family #RIP. ” Kamal Haasan however is one of the very few actors who has not only worked with Sridevi in quite a few films with Sadma(1983) being their all time hit but also treats her like his sister.
When Kamal Haasan got to know about Sridevi’s death, he obviously couldn’t handle his emotions as he tweeted, “Have witnessed Sridevi’s life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificent lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved. Many happy moments with her flash through my mind including the last time I met her. Sadma’s lullaby haunts me now.
